Join us for an in-person collective reading of Red Star Over the Third World with TPF staff. We’ll be joined virtually by author Vijay Prashad and Sudhanva Deshpande, managing editor of Leftword Books. Together, we will discuss how the October Revolution inspired working people all over the world to rise up against their imperialist oppressors. ABOUT RED OCTOBER
In October of 1917, the world shook. The Bolshevik Revolution catalyzed the masses of people around the world, demonstrating that workers and peasants could come together and create a new society organized around the needs of the majority. During the month of October, we will be studying the Bolshevik Revolution, its successes and challenges, as well as its significant impact on national liberation struggles across the Global South.
