Seven years ago, we founded The People’s Forum with a clear vision: to create a space where people’s movements could grow, thrive, and win. With support from a generous donor, we built a physical home that allowed us to focus entirely on what mattered—building movements, community, and power.

And it worked.

Today, The People’s Forum is a vibrant ecosystem. We are home to over 200 organizations fighting for racial, climate, and economic justice and liberation. We’ve hosted over 6,000 events and community gatherings, prepared free political education classes for over 40,000 people, published over 25 revolutionary texts, and helped develop a new generation of organizers. This one-of-a-kind space — beautiful, welcoming, and brimming with energy and culture — has become a home for so many of you.

But now The People’s Forum enters a critical new stage.

Our initial donation is running out, and that left us with a choice. Do we run out the clock until the end of our lease and then fold up operations? Or do we do something even bigger and bolder, counting on the community we’ve all built to make it happen?

We’ve decided to bet big on the community! To secure our future and ensure we can continue to serve as a hub for justice, we are taking a monumental step: we have bought a building in New York City to be a permanent home for the movement.

To have to close TPF would not just be heart-breaking. It would mean that the far-right and genocidal war criminals in Washington would get the thing they’ve been trying to do for years. They’ve launched nonstop attacks and smears to try and shut down TPF. We won’t let them win now.

This new building will be a permanent space that cannot be threatened by landlords or political attacks. But the thing is: The new building right now is just a shell. We are now calling on our community to help us renovate and to continue this critical work of building the movement and keep TPF’s doors open.

It’s not cheap to do this kind of construction. We need to raise $5 million in total to complete the renovations. Our immediate goal is to raise $2 million by December 2026 from individual donors like you. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps get us there.
