As part of the Meeting Our Challenges Tour, please join George Lakey with Yotam Marom at The People’s Forum to celebrate his new memoir Dancing with History: A Life for Peace and Justice. From his first arrest in the Civil Rights era to his most recent during a climate justice march at the age of 83, George Lakey has committed his life to a mission of building a better world through movements for justice. In his memoir Dancing With History, Lakey draws readers into the center of history-making events, telling often serious stories with playfulness and intimacy.

Yotam Marom is an organizer and facilitator based in New York City. Yotam played a leadership role in Occupy Wall Street and other direct action movements along the way, was a founding member of IfNotNow, and founded the Wildfire Project. He has over fifteen years of experience as a facilitator, offering a combination of strategic support with deep group and conflict work, working regularly with groups like the Sunrise Movement, Justice Democrats, Dream Defenders, Momentum, and others. Yotam also has two very cute kids, tells jokes, and cooks; you can find his writing and more at www.yotammarom.net.
