Mike Legaspi is a Filipino-American activist and organizer for Migrante New York and BAYAN-USA. Having been a youth organizer in the past, Mike has developed a perspective that education must be culturally relevant, anti-colonial, and anti-imperialist. As a member of Migrante New York, he also sees the need to make this same education not only positive in content, but also accessible to working-class im/migrants as a way of empowering themselves and strengthening community.
