February 28 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Kashmir and Palestine have been resisting against imperialism, settler colonialism, and the most intensely militarized occupations in the world for close to a century. For decades, Hindutva and Zionist ideologies have championed ethno-religious states based on the ethnic cleansing, forced disappearances, lack of self-determination of Kashmiris and Palestinians. Through cozy diplomatic relations between fascist leaders and exchange of weapons & military training, the Indian and Israeli states are joined by their singular desire to annihilate and repress people living under occupation. During this moment of acceleration in their settler colonialist agendas, join South Asia Solidarity Initiative for a teach-in with Hafsa Kanjwal of Lafayette College and Amin Husain, Palestinian-American organizer and artist. We’ll be discussing the history of Hindutva and Zionism, colonialist agendas of both Israel and India, and the co-opting of women’s & LGBTQ rights to justify occupation.
