Representatives from Raízes do Campo in Brazil are coming to The People’s Forum this week to present a selection of their incredible coffees and chocolates. Raízes do Campo is the coming together of small family farmers and agricultural collectives in Brazil, many of whom are part of the Landless Workers Movement (MST). These groups are uniting to strengthen, organize, and market their collective agricultural production through the creation of a single company. With the recognition that workers and rural peoples are denied access to land, Raízes do Campo believes in the necessity of agrarian reform to create a just society.
