Rosana Pinheiro-Machado is a public intellectual, social scientist, and anthropologist who teaches at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in Brazil. She’s also a contributor at The Intercept Brasil. Pinheiro-Machado is also the author of the award-winning book “Counterfeit Itineraries in the Global South,” as well as numerous journal and newspaper articles.
