Class 3 – “Organic Unity:” Zionism and US Imperialism’s War on Arab Revolution

This session defines the “organic link” between Zionism and US imperialism by tracing the historical origins of their combined war on the forces of Arab revolution. Since replacing Britain as the head of world imperialism at the end of World War Two, the United States has increasingly deepened its relationship with Israel and the world Zionist movement on the basis of counterrevolution, resulting in system-wide overlaps in the realms of profit accumulation, ideology, repression, and militarism. We will study how Israel’s role as the cornerstone of the United States’ control of the West Asia region perpetually threatens Palestine’s “strategic depth” of Arab popular support with war-imposed ruin and dependency.
