This concert series is designed to inspire growth and healing through creative experiences that connect the audience with themselves, the music, and one another.

The two bands, Heartwork and PL3ZR3BL will each perform sets that interweave moments of silence, reflection, engagement, and collaboration with the audience.

For this experience we will…

✔️ Play 9 original songs [4 from each band +1 group] that center themes of friendship, navigating conflict w/ loved ones, learning to self-soothe, body image, identity, self-love, and learning to let go

✔️ Lead you through experiential activities that help to clarify your values, name things that anchor and support you through hard times, and support you to envision more connected relationships with others and with yourself.

✔️ Create space for silent journaling activities to imagine your most grounded self, embody that self, and use that knowledge as a source in tense moments.

❤️ Our hope is for participants to leave the space feeling more connected to themselves, their values,  and their vision for their connections and relationships… AND to hear some fun music :).

What to know

🪨 Please bring along an object that grounds you

🪩 We invite you to play with us — we’ll be leaning into our avant-glam selves and we invite you to do the same. AND/OR, simply wear something that you feel good in.

❤️ We will always have an opt-out option explicitly stated for every activity.

About The Artists

Heartwork, led by Sterling Duns, is a 10 year journey in living intimately with and learning courageously from grief and joy. During the time folks are gathered together, Heartwork uses breath, music, conversation and silence to move all collaborators (performers and audience) towards connection with themselves, with one another, and with a deepened sense of possibility

Band Mates: Dani G, Emma, Marty, Joe, Keenan W, Alexa K, Debby Duns

Musical Inspirations: amber mark, rhye, ray lamontagne, esperanza spaldiing, Beautiful Chorus, Rhetta Morgan, kendrick lamar,

PL3ZR.REBEL led by Alexa Kutler is an ensemble that’s about learning how to take our imagination and ideas seriously. Band members of PR are all trying on something new — playing lead guitar, fronting a band, being in the background. When you watch us perform, our hope is that it reminds you that it is possible to do scary things that bring you great joy and pleasure. Our hope is that it supports you to find a spark in yourself, so that you too may walk through your fears and sew your magic.
Band Mates: Casey G, Heather W, Kamerin, Ben F, Duns

Musical Influences: Lucius, Japanese Breakfast, Semisonic, Rilo Kiley

💰Suggested Donation: $2-$25 — No one will be turned away for lack of funds. All donations will go to the musicians and makers who have been generously supporting AK & Duns to make their dreams come true!

😷 COVID Safety…

The experience will have anywhere between 40 -100 people. We want everyone to feel safe and do what you need for that. We’ll do what we can to ventilate the space  and keep air flowing but please bring your mask to have on hand!

The venue requires a Vaccine card, and we also ask that you please test before coming.

If you’re feeling ill in anyway, or have been to a larger gathering un-masked in a closed public space in the past few days, please consider sitting this one out OR taking a covid test. We’ll have a few with us at the door!
