⚡️ Yaya Bey is a Brooklyn-bred, Queens-raised singer-songwriter & poet whose music cuts wide across R&B, jazz, reggae, hip-hop and soul. She’s been making waves since her 2016 debut The Many Alter-Egos of Trill’eta Brown, and continues to evolve through landmark albums like Remember Your North Star and Ten Fold. Bey’s work is deeply personal and political—writing of love, grief, Black womanhood, identity, activism—and always insisting on honesty, resilience, and creative freedom.
First Fridays is our monthly concert series at TPF, curated and co-presented by Artists Against Apartheid, spotlighting bold, urgent, electrifying cultural voices. Expect genre-bending performance, communal celebration, and art as resistance.
