June 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for a film and panel of anti-war veterans about the power of military members’ poerful resistance to unjust wars. We will screen DISOBEYING ORDERS; GI RESISTANCE TO THE VIETNAM WAR, directed by Pam Sporn during the first Gulf War in 1990. The film highlights the antiwar movement within the armed forces during the Vietnam War. Interviews with Vietnam veterans, including Navy Nurse Susan Schnall, are interwoven with archival photos, film footage, and popular music of the 1960’s. The film highlights the intersection of civil rights and antiwar movements, and the ethics of whether to follow orders that one feels are immoral.

Light refreshments will be served.
