Driving In Palestine: Opening Weekend Screening • Canada Park &  Vibrations from Gaza

A part of the opening exhibition weekend of Driving In Palestine by Rehab Nazzal curated by Stefan St-Laurent and co-presented by The People’s Forum and SAW, join us for a Screening Presentation of Canada Park (2015) and Vibrations from Gaza (2024) followed by discussion with Rehab Nazzal (artist, filmmaker, Dar Al-Kalimah University), Samirah Alkassim (filmmaker, George Mason University), Terri Ginsberg (film scholar, Rutgers University) Shireen Soliman (artist, educator, storyteller), and John King (musician, composer, New York University)

Canada Park explores how investments from Canada enabled the creation of a public park on land from which the existing, Palestinian residents were displaced, and Vibrations from Gaza, examines how deaf children in Gaza experience the Israeli bombings

Open to all. Free admission.
