July 11 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

art as archive,
art as action

Art is not just expression. it is labor, it is history, it is class struggle. It reflects the conditions of its creation and the contradictions of the world around it. In a world shaped by exploitation and empire, art becomes the weapon to fight erasure.

Sudanese artists have long created under the weight of military rule, economic crisis, and colonial residue, but also with the force of revolutionary imagination. Their work doesn’t just preserve memory; it thwarts the systems that produce forgetting.

To make art under oppression is to seize back the means of production. To create is to reject the ruling class’s monopoly on truth and memory.

Join us for a Sudanese art showcase that centers visual resistance as a tool of survival and transformation. Through expression, artists continue the revolution, challenge state violence, and imagine a liberated future beyond the grasp of capital and colonialism.
