Sonnets for Survival is an art installation and poetry program created for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The installation features clothing displays paired with survivour testimonies to challenge the harmful myth that clothing causes sexual assault.
The evening will also include poetry centered on survival, healing, and solidarity, along with a brief conversation on sexual violence within the South Asian community.
All donations from the event will support The Asiyah Women’s Center, which provides housing and support services for survivours of domestic violence.
