Join us for a special concert on Sunday, Feb 15. Penumbra is an ongoing musical exploration created by Warner Meadows, Ezemdi Akalonu and Andrew Javens. Drawing its name from the life and artistic legacy of Afro-Cuban painter Wifredo Lam, Penumbra seeks to illuminate and historicize the urgency of the current political moment through improvisation, poetry, and homage.

Penumbra: a space of partial illumination (as in an eclipse) between the perfect shadow on all sides and the full light.
