Join us at The People’s Forum for our Freedom Summer Film Series!

Freedom Summer Films is a series that aims to explore the humanity and the creativity of the many struggles against imperialism, colonialism, capitalism at home and abroad, and we hope to leave inspired for a future of liberation through community and love.  We know that cultural expression is one of the most powerful forms of political education, and we hope you join us for these collective viewings!

This is a free educational program, however, in order to maintain a safe capacity level, we ask that you leave a $6 suggested donation to reserve your participation and to sustain our educational programming. Once you arrive, you can request to be refunded.

About “Landless”

An insight into the Brazilian Landless Workers Movement’s everyday routine, which is divided up between tilling the land, political activism and talk of what a better future might look like. It follows a group of members during the occupation a plot of land near a factory over the course of four years as they live out their lives in an improvised camp, where they work the land, fight against unequal rights to agricultural land, and demand land for themselves.
