March 28 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

During the past 16 month long assault on Gaza, Israel has engaged in acts of ecocide, destroying  83% of all plant life, along with approximately 70% of Gaza’s agricultural land (Forensic Architecture) In the past few months has also seen the largest forced displacement in the West Bank since 1967, with destruction of water and sanitation infrastructure and forcing many farmers from their lands (Oxfam).

In the face this destruction, the Feeding the Land Benefit seeks to raise funds to support farmers in Palestine through the important work of the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature’s “Revive Gaza’s Farmland” and “Four Million Trees” projects.

As Israel uses food as a weapon of war, join us Friday March 28 at the People’s Forum for an Iftar raising funds to support those that grow and feed Palestine. The evening will begin with performances from Syrian-Croatian Singer Dania, Tunisian Singer-Songwriter Nour Harkati, and Lebanese-American poet Maha Hashwi, followed by an Iftar meal created by Chef Ibrahim Eldomyati of Feast on Us. And before and during the evening guests will be able to bid on beautiful works from donating artists with funds also going to support farmers in Palestine.

Doors will open at 5:30 with Iftar at 7:15
