De Sangre y Azucar seeks to preserve and disseminate Afro-Caribbean musical traditions and culture. These various yet interconnect traditions underline the shared history and culture of resistance that the Caribbean islands share. Some of the styles taught will be Rumba (Cuba), Bomba (PR), musical forms from DR/Haiti, and Afro-Panamanian styles.
