Join us for a Cyanotype workshop with NY-based artist Praise Fuller!
Students will thoroughly learn the cyanotype process over the course of five weeks. Each class covers a lesson relevant to the process, including how to edit photos for negatives, best practices for printing on various surfaces, and troubleshooting tips. Participants will be able to experiment with the process, building upon the skills of previous weeks to create several works in each class. The idea is to leave the course with a holistic understanding of the cyanotype printmaking process. No previous knowledge necessary, friendly to all skill levels!
5-weeks • Tuedays 6:00-8:30PM • November 4 through December 2 • Cost of Class: $200

Praise Fuller (b. Houston, Texas) is a New York-based, self-taught artist, poet, and educator with a practice spanning printmaking, installation, and mixed media with a central focus on the cyanotype process. Fuller’s work emerges from historical analysis and introspection, exploring what lies beyond the constraints of family, the church, trauma, and the cultural realities of the South. These introspections are interwoven with the concept of “rememory,” a term borrowed from Toni Morrison, which reflects how memory exists beyond, or even escapes, the individual mind by inhabiting objects, places, and communities.
