2023 marks 75 years of ongoing Nakba (catastrophe) for the Palestinian people. It also marks 116 years of imperialist occupation that began with Britain in 1917 and has been carried on by the Zionist state since 1948. In the face of these realities, our history and present continue to affirm that the only possibility of Palestine’s total liberation is found in organized, popular resistance.

As the movement for Palestine continues to grow, it is crucial that those who stand with the Palestinian cause arm themselves with knowledge of the unrelenting tide of historical and contemporary popular resistance. Through collective study, we can be better equipped to confront the forces of Zionism and imperialism that threaten revolutionary struggles across the world.

Join the New York City chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on May 26–28 to learn about Palestinian and Arab resistance to Zionist settler-colonialism and British/American imperialism. Through this three-session course, PYM will provide participants with the opportunity to understand the anti-colonial and anti-imperialist Palestinian struggle over the span of three periods, focusing on pre-1948 resistance, the First Intifada, and contemporary resistance across Palestine.
