Palestinians in the West Bank face continuous violent attacks and displacement at the hands of both the Israeli government and settler gangs. While there has been increased scrutiny of these acts in international news over recent months, this isn’t a new phenomenon – and Palestinians have long organized to support one another in the face of this violence. The Community Church of New York is proud to partner with the Wa’ad Community Fund and the American Council for Judaism to offer this organizing update from the refugee camps of the Northern West Bank, Wa’ad Fund supports Palestinians who have been displaced from their homes using a model built on mutual aid. US-based members will present on the current situation and the historical and political context, followed by a virtual Q&A with Nada Tweir, an organizer and activist working on the ground in Tulkarem.
