DESCRIPTION:Join The Bori Collective\, Victory in Puerto Rico\, and The People’s Forum as we welcome Beatriz Lenin from Defiende a Cabo Rojo & Katherine Martínez from La Colmena Cimarrona to NYC. \nDefend Cabo Rojo has been leading the fight in Puerto Rico against the mega project Esencia which threatens to devastate the coast of Cabo Rojo so that the rich have a place to live in luxury. We’ll hear updates from Beatriz who serves as the main spokesperson for the movement. \nAdditionally we’ll be joined by Katherine Martinez from La Colmena Cimarrona in Vieques. Katherine will be sharing updates on what’s happening in Vieques and how their struggle is connected to Esencia. \nThe event begins at 6PM with food served on a first come\, first served basis.
