The People’s Forum is a space dedicated to advancing the struggles of the poor and dispossessed. Utilizing popular and political education and fostering people’s culture, TPF seeks to develop the next generation of visionaries and leaders. The People’s Forum is located in midtown Manhattan and opened in September 2018.

Position Summary: 

This is a Part-Time non-exempt position that reports directly to the Organizing Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics and coordination of events and classes;
  • Respond to requests for space use and member events;
  • Provides audio-visual technical support for events;
  • Oversee facility management and maintenance needs;
  • Coordinate volunteers;
  • Support operational tasks associated with 1804 Books;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Flexible – able to adjust to changing priorities, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits 

We offer a salary in the range of $20-25/hr commensurate with experience. This position is expected to require 20–29 hours in-person at The People’s Forum facility per week. We provide excellent benefits including a 401(k) savings option, and safe and sick time off. Additionally, our employees have full access to events and classes hosted at The People’s Forum.
