The People’s Forum is a space dedicated to advancing the struggles of the poor and dispossessed. Utilizing popular and political education and fostering people’s culture, TPF seeks to develop the next generation of visionaries and leaders.

The People’s Forum is located in midtown Manhattan and opened in September 2018.


Position Summary: 

This is a Part-Time position for approximately 25-29 hours per week that reports directly to the General Manager.



  • Record and reconcile revenue;
  • Prepare financial statements for review by management and board of directors;
  • Reconcile bank accounts;
  • Handle accounts payable and enter bills and invoices for payment;
  • Assist with the preparation for the annual audit, including preparing requested documentation;
  • Maintain financial records for fiscally sponsored organizations;
  • Generate financial reports for program areas;
  • Maintain organizational compliance with fiscal policies; and
  • Assist in the monitoring of expenditures and the budget


Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or 2-3 years of commensurable professional experience.
  • Highly proficient with Quickbooks Online
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

  • Time management/organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self- supervise.
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.


Compensation and Benefits: 

We offer a competitive salary in the range of $30-40 per hour commensurate with experience. Our employees have full access to events and classes hosted at The People’s Forum.
