Duration: Thursday, October 18, 6-9pm
This one-day course uses popular education methodologies to take a critical look at common explanations for poverty and inequality, and the ways those concepts are usually defined and talked about. It also introduces the concepts of class, exploitation, and dispossession as an alternative way of understanding the relationship between wealth and poverty. This course is a continuation of the Introduction to Popular Education class, but it isn’t a requirement that students participate in that class to be part of this one.
