Relief Printmaking Open Studio w/ Daniel Drennan ElAwar

The open studio is a drop-in space for printmakers to bring their work at whatever stage and get feedback on where they are in their process. A printing station will also be set up and printmakers can do test prints as well as print runs. Some tools, ink, and linoleum will be available; printmakers will be expected to bring their own paper or fabric for printing.

3 Sessions • Saturdays 3:00-6:00PM • October 18, November 1, November 15 • Cost of Class: $10

Daniel Drennan ElAwar is an illustrator, printmaker, and educator. His work, based in a documentary genre, focuses primarily on issues of displacement, dispossession, and disinheritance. His research and practice concerning decolonization and resistance led to the founding of a Beirut-based artists’ collective, ‎جمع اليد (Jamaa Al-Yad). He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Frontline Arts, formerly the Printmaking Center of New Jersey.
