We will spend an afternoon with poet, educator, revolutionary Amina Baraka. She will perform her jazz poetry accompanied by The Music Now Unit:

There will be an in depth discussion with Amina afterwards, a learning experience about the rarely mentioned roots of the Black Arts Movement and her contribution to its inception.
