The Intercept and the Economic Hardship Reporting Project are proud to co-host a screening of Insecurity, a series of short films about three women who grapple for what they need after the pandemic upends their lives: social services, a living wage, and decent mental health care. The films will be interspersed with a conversation about economic hardship and insecurity in the pandemic era. The panel, moderated by executive producer Lauren Feeney, includes Alissa Quart, executive director of the Economic Hardship Reporting Project; series producers Karla Murthy and Mona Iskander; and Lisa Ventura, a poet, artist, mom, and former social worker who is featured in the series.
