The People’s Forum is convening a recurring online space to hear and discuss current analysis and reports from leaders of people’s movements and organizations in the US and across the world.

The US state has a long and violent history of intervention, militarization, and colonialism in the Caribbean. In the middle of a global pandemic, the US has accelerated its aggressive approach in the Caribbean by sending naval ships to the coast of Venezuela, blocking shipments with supplies and PPE, tightening sanctions, and continuing its imperialist agenda without regard for human life. What does this mean for the people of the Caribbean region and for the struggle against US colonialism and imperialism? In this session, we will discuss these questions with and hear the analysis of Ozzi Warwick, from the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union of Trinidad and Tobago,  and Jocelyn Velazquez, from Se Acabaron Las Promesas – Puerto Rico.

Join us via Zoom! **This will be a bilingual talk in English and Spanish. If you are not bilingual, please join the webinar from the zoom app in order to access interpretation.**
