Join us as we commemorate seventy-one years since the Nakba – the loss of the Palestinian homeland and the expulsion of some 750,000 Palestinians during Israel’s establishment – with a teach-in at The People’s Forum. The event will examine the ongoing process of land theft, cartographic manipulation and mass incarceration from the early twentieth century to the present day. We will approach this teach-in with a grounding in mapping practices in Palestine-Israel and the legal and material conditions of Palestinian political prisoners, and we will hear personal accounts of imprisonment.

Speakers: Zena Agha and Randa Wahbe

*Light refreshments will be served after sundown*
