The ongoing conflict in Ethiopia has focused significant global attention on the Horn of Africa. Claims and counter-claims of atrocities, hundreds of thousands of displaced people and sanctions levied by Western nations have left many struggling to understand what’s going on and what’s at stake?

Join us for a panel and discussion on the Ethiopian conflict and the broader historical and regional context. Who the players are, what is motivating them, and how Western-led regime change operations could loom in the near future. Panelists will also address issues of media bias and human rights and how they’ve shaped and distorted the current mainstream narrative.

Hear from Eugene Puryear with ANSWER, Simon Tesfamariam with the New Afrika Institute, and more.
