En el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente luchamos por la defensa de todas las formas de vida en nuestro planeta, condenamos las acciones depredadoras de las empresas que no se preocupan por las consecuencias en su búsqueda de beneficios y apropiación de los recursos naturales.
Sabemos que la salida está en la reconstrucción de la relación entre los seres humanos y la naturaleza, donde la vida, el buen vivir colectivo y los tiempos ecológicos guíen a naciones y pueblos, no la codicia, el lucro y la propiedad privada. Es una salida a partir de la producción agroecológica de alimentos, la democratización del acceso a la tierra a partir de la reforma agraria, el cuidado de los bienes comunes como el agua, la biodiversidad y la tierra, y la transición hacia una matriz energética que responda a las necesidades reales de la clase trabajadora con la justicia social y ambiental, de superación del patriarcado y el racismo.
Parar la barbarie capitalista es la tarea central de nuestro tiempo. Necesitamos enterrar la dominación del capital sobre la vida, construir un mundo justo, igualitario y hermoso, para que todas y todos podamos vivir bien y en paz.

World Environment Day: Live Interview with Carlos Marentes of the Border Agricultural Workers!

On World Environment Day we fight for the defense of all forms of life on our planet, we condemn the predatory actions of corporations that do not care about the consequences in their search for profit and appropriation of natural resources.
We know the solution is in the rebuilding of the relationship between human beings and nature, where life, collective well-being, and ecological rhythms – not greed and profit – guide the actions of nations and peoples. It is a solution focused on agroecological production of food; the democratization of the access to land through agrarian reform; the protection and care of common goods such as water, biodiversity and land; and the transition to an energy model that responds to the real needs of the working class with social and environmental justice, overcoming patriarchy and racism.
Putting a stop to capitalist barbarism is the central task of our time. We need to put an end to the domination of capital over life in order to create a world that is just, egalitarian and vibrant, so that we all can live well and in peace.
