Canto Libre! A concert against gender based violence commemorates the 39th year of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and celebrates the historical struggles and legacies of women who have dedicated themselves to systemic and structural change, and the creation of revolutionary processes.

In the midst of deepening and converging crises stemming from exploitive systems (i.e. capitalism, imperialism, patriarchy and white supremacy, etc.) working class women continue to bear the brunt on all fronts of this world in chaos. Consequently, working class women have had no option but to be in the lead of fierce resistance to oppression and exploitation in all fronts of struggles.

Join us in celebrating the voices, songs, poetry created by women in our collective struggle for liberation. Canto Libre or We Sing Freely is an offering to reaffirm that in a world where women have been subjected to all types of oppression and violence, they are still here, in resistance and daring to dream and create a better world for humanity and the planet.
