What is the reality of imperialism today? What does education look like under conditions of imperialism, and how do we build the capacity of young people to understand and intervene in today’s world? How do we build anti-imperialist education?

During the anti-imperialist week of action, we invite educators to engage in a discussion on how to teach young people about the reality of imperialism today. We will discuss the relevance of anti-imperialism to class struggle and the ways to communicate this in the classroom, in the streets, and everywhere the struggle is waged. The discussion will be led by the following educators:

Yexenia Venegas – Teacher at Detroit Public School District (General Baker Institute)
Manu Vimalassery – Assistant Professor at Barnard College
Karla Reyes – Teacher at NYC Public School

Zoom link will be sent via email to those who register.
