Acompáñanos en la primera presentación del documental “Cantores Populares de Monte Patria” del productor y director <b>Víctor Arenas Ramírez</b>.

Bio de Víctor Arenas Ramírez. 

Nació en Nazadjik, Bulgaria. A los 10 años llega a vivir a Chile. Es Director de Norte Verde Films y Licenciado en Humanidades, Lengua y Literatura Hispánica, mención en Lingüística de la Universidad de Chile. Su sueño y carrera como cineasta empezó a temprana edad, a los 9 años, cuando su madre le regaló como presente de cumpleaños una cámara fotográfica.  Director, Guionista, Productor y Colaborador en diferentes documentales y cortometrajes, tales como: “Sonidos de la Tierra” en Paraguay; “Viaje al País de las Raíces”, ganador del Premio al Mejor Documental del Cine Joven” U.Ch.; y “Voces de Liq Malliñ” producido para televisión. Paralelamente con el cine, trabaja con generaciones jóvenes como Profesor de Cinematografía y de Literatura en el Colegio República de Chile y es Miembro de la Red de Clubes Escolares del Programa de la Cineteca Nacional de Chile. En sus propias palabras:“El Cine y la Literatura, son Lenguajes a través de los cuales se puede hablar y expresar la belleza que radica en las simples cosas”.

Biography of Victor Arenas Ramírez. Director of Norte Verde Films. 

He is the Producer and Director of “Cantores Populares de Monte Patria”, this film is being presented for the first time in New York City at The People’s Forum on September 28, 2019. Victor Arenas R. is the Director of Norte Verde Films, and holds a graduate degree in Humanities, Language, and Hispanic Literature and minored in Linguistics from University of Chile. Born in Nazadjik, Bulgaria, he moved to Chile at the age of ten. His dream and his career as a filmmaker started when his mother gave him a photo camera as a birthday present. This took him to a new dimension and discovery process.

He is a Director, Screenwriter, Producer and collaborator on different documentaries and short films such as “Sonidos de la Tierra” in Paraguay; “Viaje al País de las Raíces”, winner of the Best Documentary in Young Film from the University of Chile and “Voces de Liq Mallin” produced for television. In parallel with his career as a filmmaker he works with younger generations as Professor of Cinematography and Literature in the Colegio República of Chile. He is also is a member of the network “Cineteca Nacional de Chile.”
